Leaving Khatmandu was a joke, the domestic airport has less organization than a bowl of noodle soup. We eventually got to our plane but had to wait while the pilot quite literally chased down a fuel truck. On board with 12 others we were pleasantly surprised to find that everyone had a window seat.
A very bumpy, low altitude 1 hour flight saw us at Lukla. Lukla airport was pretty cool. The airstrip had a definite angle of around 10 degrees which meant planes could land/take off over its short run. Once out of the airport we quickly made our way to our first stop at Phakding. A short 3 hour walk.
Aaron's got a nasty cold that is making him feel average but apart from that all is well. My knees are taking a beating but I'm a big man so hopefully that's all the complaining you will get out of me (those who know me will know that's an absolute lie). Next stop Namchee Bazaar - 5hr trek tomorrow morning.
